His fascination with freckles led Reto Caduff, a Los Angeles-based photographer, to capture scores of prettily pigmented women. “I’ve always liked freckles,” he says, “but working on shoots over the years, I noticed that they usually get covered with makeup or digitally removed in post-production. So I decided to celebrate the spots rather than erase them.” The resulting project, a limited-edition tome of black-and-white portraits called “Freckles,” is $69 at Dashwood Books, 33 Bond Street; (212) 387-8520.
